Leaving My Secondary School Behind

After graduating from secondary school I have a lot of time to spend with our family and friends. But mainly to myself. After finishing spm I had some work experience and gain a lot of knowledge from that, but apart from that I also went to a small Islamic learning centre to gain knowledge for my religion. A little did I know that the period of 6 month can be so fast when we are having so much fun…

During the time before going into university, I spend most of my time with my high school friends. They are not like any other friends since anything will be fine, even when I am in trouble they will always be around to look out for one and another. I cannot deny that they are quiet annoying at times but without them my smile won’t be as confident as it is right now.

Friends who brings such joy into your life is a blessing, but friends who stay and make things right for you is just truly amazing. I do not think that I deserve so much for the little period of time spending with them. But the one thing that truly unite us is sport. First when I know them is through playing football and during that time street football (futsal) are very famous among teenagers.

My futsal Team

We will go all day playing futsal and winning over local team. It is a joy because in the game there are teamwork at place and not only that you will have a mutual understanding toward each other in being able to execute the game play. Not only that, nonverbal communication will also be put into practice. For example, you do not need to plan the attacking since we all have already gain a lot of mutual understanding toward each other so that in the process of trying to score a goal we will use a lot of body language and face expression in order to deliver a result.

It is truly a joy and I have no regrets toward the time that I have had while waiting for university. Those were the time where I get to explore a lot in term of places and the type of people around us. I get to learn the society more than I could during the past 2 years. Despite that I have just settle in Malaysia after staying in the United Kingdom for almost 5 years. I have truly felt how it was to be one of them, to be a teenager in Malaysia.

In conclusion, friends does not just bring happiness and peace into your life however they can influence you to become neither good nor bad. So be careful when choosing a friend since they will determine the type of person that you will be among with. It is all up to you to choose and that is you right to do so. Lastly, be grateful because friends are one of the gifts that we have in this world.

My Everyday Style and Looks

Firstly, I am not the type of person that consider an outfit or the way I dress and style out my hair to be a priority. Although our first impression are mainly refer to what we wear and how we look, I believe that we should always know the personality and characteristic of that person first before being judgmental toward anyone. Being able to accept and love someone because of their characteristic and personality is worth so much more than loving someone because of how they look.

However, despite everything we must at least make an effort in trying to look good because it can also influence on how we behave. ‘’Look good, feel good’’, as the saying goes it really prove that what you wear can affect you as an individual and also your surroundings. Not only that, it is also a form of a good manner since wearing an appropriate clothing define your personality as well.

For me, I like to keep it simple and casual on normal day. Jeans with t-shirt or sweater is enough to put some confident in me. In some cases especially in presentation I have to keep track with the formality and that require things such as tie and tuck in long sleeves. My colour are mostly dark colours such as black or dark grey.

Furthermore, in term of hairstyle what I tend to do is just to keep it as simple as I can. Despite my long hair what I consider first is not actually the style that I execute but the softness of the hair itself. What I consider most is to never skip a shampoo day since it can make your hair smelly and you yourself will feel uncomfortable throughout all day. So keep that in mind and always remind yourself to wash your hair so that it won’t be too oily.

In addition, what I consider to be the most important factor which we all need to include in our everyday style and looks is to actually put up a smile in our face. Not only that it will improve our personality as a person but it can also be consider as a form of a good manner. Smiling will bring a positive vibe to our surrounding even though if we are happen to be in a stressful situation, smiling will actually help you to be more motivated to overcome the problem that you might face.

In conclusion, our style and looks is part can symbolise part of what we are. However, our personality is what define us as a person. Be kind to others and do not let our ego overcome us because hate will only bring us more harm. Instead just take a short break from everything and put yourself to the front. Do not forget to smile and be positive in every single way, this will help you to become more motivated in accomplishing your objectives.

English Camp

One of my favorite thing to do is organising an event, in most cases will turn out to be an English camp event. Although it can be tiring sometime but the result and experience that you can gain afterward are worth every second of it.

My First English Camp

English Fun Day.

As you may know my mum is an English lecturer over at UUM. So in the weekends she tend to have a lot of free time. And one of her way in spending time with us is by organising an English event. It is very good since it can teach me especially about the management of a single event. Not only that, we can have a lot of fun by doing so.

Every big success must start with a small step, so she taught me by starting from level one which is from kindergarten. What we did was a simple speaking session just to get the kids going. What I found out is that the ice breaking session is very effective in getting the children to talk because in the activity they will be talking about themselves so it sort of motivate them to speak more without having any hesitation.Apart from that, the ice breaking session will also help them to build more confident toward their new surroundings.

Ice Breaking Session

After having the ice breaking session and the students seems to be comfortable and start having confident to speak out loud we would move on to our next activity which is the grammar nazi. What we did was by having simple words and having these kids to spell out as quickly as they can. What this activity have is the competition and as their adrenaline build up the activity will motivate them to have fun while learning. Not only that, this activity allows them to learn very quickly and are able to gain a lot of knowledge in a short period of time.

To end everything, the last activity that we did was a story telling session. Because of the hardworking activity before, the children will need rest and a calming session to process and store every little knowledge that they have learned. By having a relaxing and fun story telling session, the children have relax their mind. Not only that, it will also decreases their level of adrenaline. The story telling session is just a simple reading book which will be read by me. Books such as little red riding hood, the jungle book, the bear, and pop out story books are very highly popular among kindergarten.

Reading Session

To conclude, there are a lot of English camp event that I have participated in and it has taught me a lot of knowledge both regarding the event and also the behaviors of people around me. Although it can be hard at time but the obstacles are worth getting over with because it will teach you more than you can ever imagine. Not to forget the fun in accomplishing the work.

A Car To Remember

When you talk about cars, there are a lot of things that you can mention especially the memories that one car can hold. I remember as a child, my first car that my dad bought was a mini red kancil.

Even as a child you can still remember the thrill in going on a trip with a car. So it is a tremendous step of your live when you are able to drive one yourself. After graduating from my spm, I did my driving license. The first car that I ever step a pedal on was my dad’s old proton saga. The old white bcw is what we used to call it, and the funny thing was that I can still remember the first day I step into that car. It is when I was only 8 years old when dad bought the car from Selangor, and both I and my big brother went home with it.

Me - In my red kancil

The feeling of being able to put a gear in the car was amazing since it treasure a lot of my childhood memories in it. Because it was my first time driving, my dad insisted that he ought to be my first driving teacher. To be completely honest, my dad is much more terrifying than the JPJ. However, it was good since he taught be more than any driving teachers can in a day.

Tip on how to be sensible on the road...

No 1: Always be patient in whatever surrounding you may be

No2: Always follow your own decision when you are on the road. Never listen to the person next to you. (Except if the person next to you is your dad, mum, the JPJ or your wife) Hehe.

No3: Do not look out for other people’s mistake, instead just focus on the road in getting to your destination.

Hopefully by following these simple step you can drive your car more sensibly and with a peaceful mind and soul.

Tips on Improving your driving skills

That was my dad’s advice. Both combine with my mum since she has always been the patient one. Hehe. And talking of which, I rarely have problem when driving since I have always put up the ‘’whatever to the world, I just want to get home’’ attitude when I am driving. Come to think of it, a car will actually define you as a person. For example if you are inpatient then most likely that you will be driving fast and reckless most of the time.

To conclude, a single car can influence so much especially to a person’s behavior. Not only will it have its own memories which you will treasure forever. By all mean, transportation is a big part of our life especially during this time of era where the world are expanding and getting from one place to another is crucial for our everyday life. As of that, we remember our cars for its significant value in our life.

My Favourite Foods

When we talk about food, wow. There are just too many types that I am in love with. So getting it into my favorite list is as hard as it can be.

First of all, because I was born in Malaysia specifically in Kedah. The level of expectation for food is high since we have a variety of food in our country. Not only that, it is also international. Because in Malaysia we also have influence on the western food such as pizza, burgers, chicken chop and many more.

To narrow it down, I will start with my favourite hometown food. Back in Kedah we have a lot of different kind of rice. Despite this, my most favourite one is got to be the ‘’Nasi Kandar’’ or ‘’Nasi Kandaq’’ as us kedahan call it. Nasi kandar is a type of rice with a lot of herb and taste. It is so good, you can even eat it by itself. Usually in Nasi Kandar you would have beef, prawn, or chicken. Although my personal favorite is as simple as it can get and that is a plate of rice with a sweet honey chicken accompany with a nice chill lemonade. The simple the meal is, the tastier it will be. That is the famous line that a lot of people say when they are talking about food.

Apart from that, I am also a big fan of the western food. Because of its popularity in term of the global and especially in Malaysia. Western food are very easy to come by. My first personal favorite is a type of bread call the pizza. In a pizza you can find everything from fruit to meat. My kind of pizza is where it contain a mixture of fruits and slices of meat. When combine and wrap all of that with a tomato sauce and cover it all with a thick layer of cheese, to me it is a perfect combination which define the western food.

In addition, of course when we are talking about Malaysia. We cannot leave the fruits behind. Because Malaysia is well known for its exotic forest and fruit. It is very popular among the world to see Malaysia as one of the most exotic place that you can visit. In all the fruits that we have, obviously there will be only one standing kind among it. And that is the durian fruit.Durian fruit is a golden sweet fruit which contain mainly sugar. The fruit is best serve directly after opening the skin. The way I like it is by eating on its own accompany with a cold water to ease it off afterward.

In conclusion, Malaysia is a place of heaven when it comes to food. Because of our diversity in culture, we also have the privilege to share different types of food within our community. To me, food is one of the factor that we all can relate since we all have our own taste toward it. Not only that, we can all share our opinion regarding the topic.

How can English be so important?

That is a good question since in this modern world people are asking what the reason for us to be needing to learn this language. And can’t we just speak in our language and communicating with only the person who understand it?

The main reason would be because of the internet and the global exchange. As you may know, the internet is the main factor that unite all of us globally. The internet is widely spread out through out every corner of the world. In that case, all of us need to learn one way of communicating with each other. Since it is very hard to learn all the languages that we have in this world. English became the international language for all.

As our world is developing, modern business including exchanging goods and knowledge internationally. And with this our main language to communicate is with the language known as English. Since the British used to conquer a lot of part of this world, English is very famous among the country in the world. So learning it will be easy as there are many resources that you can refer to. To add on, the reason why I think English is very important is that based on my experience of travelling around the world.

My main language in communicating with foreign people is by using English. It is important since you need to know how to get to the corner shop or to the hospital. This require any means of communication and since English is our primary tool then why not use it?
As the English syllables is not as hard compare to other language. It is really easy to learn a few important word such as ‘’please’’ or ‘’thankyou’’. This will help you as a travelling person to get your way around. For more tips go to English.communicating

Not only that, our world is developing rapidly and business nowadays are exporting and importing product internationally. So our local product need to evolve its way to the future by having two language description. For example, one language for the local product to be sold within the country, and the other description which will be in English to be sold internationally. With that our local product can expand its diversity internationally to create a more efficient result.

In conclusion, English is important today because not only that it is the main language of the world but as the modern economy develop we are required to be able to communicate locally and globally.

My Moon and my star

The amount of blessing that you get from having both of your parents around is just indescribable and I can never put it to words. What parents is that they have an emotional effect toward us. Especially if we are far away from them, and for me parents is everything and their words means the world to me, my world are my parents.

My Dad

As the normal perspective of a dad is that he can do everything, that my dad. Your first superhero might be batman, Spiderman, or even superman, but to me it is my dad. At time when I need something to be done he will always be around. Not just that, he is the type of person that will educate while completing the work. Because of that I am so used to fixing everything in the house but since I have an older brother to do everything so I have always caught up with being a little bit lazy to do everything since I have my brother to do that. But after he left for his Diploma and I was the elders in the house, only then I fully understood how it feels to be a brother.

Anyway, dad taught me a lot of life skills that I will need in the future. I cannot imagine of having the thought by spending my little childhood without him. To me the character of one father is so important because it will influence on the act of the child growing up. A father is one you might call a guidance for kid growing up because he act like a role model.

My Mother

She is not like any other mother to me. Her way of teaching me is with her soul and mostly with a lot of patient. She is the one where I go when I needed advice in fixing my feelings. To my mum is where I will go when my thoughts and my heart get confuse. She is the only place where I can go to get explanation regarding any small matter.

In term of education my mum is very particular. However the way she educate was for me to discover what I like to learn. So I have never actually have stress in learning since she has never been the type of person who put a pressure especially in my studies. And apart from that the way she educate me is through me completing the work by hand so that I can fully understand the whole procedure in reaching the objective.

In conclusion, both of my parents are the one where I would refer to if there is any problem that I cannot handle by myself. Getting back to the title of this post which is ‘’my moon and my star’’. The reason why I have decided to write that as my tittle is because my parents symbolise the beauty that the moon reflect from the sun and the stars which will forever shine ever though through the darkest hours of my live. I love my parents and it is where my heart truly belong to.

Sports that I Have Played

There are many type of sport that you can participate out there, although my personal favourites are football, athletics, and table tennis. I’m sure all of us have been exposed to some kind of sport during our primary and secondary school.

Firstly, lets talk about the most famous sports in the world. And that is football. There are a lot of benefits that you can gain from playing football and that is…

Increases Aerobic Capacity: Running -at any intensity- for 90 minutes requires a high level of stamina. Therefore, soccer players often have a tremendous amount of aerobic capacity- being able to go from walking to sprinting and have a fast recovery to do it again, and again, and again. For more visit healthfitness.

Secondly, the famous Olympic are highlighted for it athletics group. Athletics are very good since it can teach you to be competitive in achieving your objectives. According to the National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS), there were over 40 million boys and girls participating in organized sports in 2008. With numbers like these, which continue to rise every year, it would certainly be of benefit to highlight the positives behind all this participation. This becomes especially important with the seemingly heavy media concentration on the opposing side of the fence where the negative tends to make a better news story. You can find out more at chicagonow.

Furthermore, one of my personal favorite sport which is the table tennis. As far as sport goes table tennis are one of the most delicate yet extremely fast sport. It require focus and a light hand to be able to master the sport. There are a lot of benefit which you can gain by playing the sport since it can improves hand-eye coordination and it stimulates mental alertness, concentration and tactical strategy. This makes it the perfect game for young people to sharpen reflexes, and for older people to refine tactics. Read more at healthfitness.

Lastly, I think we should embrace sport because apart from its health benefit you will also have a lot of fun by participating in it. Not only that, by playing sport you can create more friends and tighten the bond with your relationship with other people.

Work Experience While Waiting For SPM

As you know work experience are very important nowadays since there are a lot of demand in the modern world where working skills are required to be able to have a job. Since as a student after taking the SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) I had a lot of time while waiting for the result to come out, ive decided to go out there and collect a working experience since there not much things that I can do at home apart from sleeping.

The company that I went to was a computer based shop named Ketari Merah where I worked over there as a promoter and the information department. It was interesting as a whole because throughout the period of time working over there I get to meet a lot of CEO from many companies. It was good since I am able to gain knowledge by spending time with them and talking issue regarding their working experience.

KETARI MERAH

As a whole, part time job can be hard because you would have to organise your time properly so that you won’t have any clash with any other related work. However, you can learn so much because it can teach you a lot of soft skill that you can use in your future job or career.

Health Effect toward sleeping late

Sleeping might not be a big issue although some people are pushing it to next level by not having sleep for 2 or more day. Little did we know that this have a lot of negative effects toward our health and in this post I will review on the effect and impact that it have by referring to the past research that have been conducted by researchers.

Experts are just beginning to understand how sleep affects just about everything you do. But they do suggest you look out for these scary side effects of skimping on sleep in your 20s.

Increased risk of disease: In a recent study involving more than 54,000 adults, researchers found that people who sleep less than six hours per night (or more than nine) were significantly more likely to have heart disease or diabetes, have suffered a stroke, or be obese, even after researchers adjusted the results for other known risk factors.

Heightened blood pressure: Sleep loss stresses out your body and mind in a way that causes your blood pressure to spike. Over time, this could damage your heart, arteries, kidneys, and even bring about stroke, loss of vision, and a host of other health problems you seriously don't want.

Weakened immune system and reduced effectiveness of certain vaccinations: Vaccines are designed to trick your body into creating antibodies that provide immunity to a particular disease or infection. But exhaustion compromises the immune system, so your body doesn't produce adequate antibodies, according to a study in which researchers administered hepatitis B vaccinations and measured patients' antibodies before and after treatment. People who slept fewer than six hours a night were the least likely to respond to the vaccine and were 11.5 percent more likely to emerge unprotected.

Stress: When you don't get enough sleep, your body naturally releases the stress hormone cortisol, says Dr. Shalini Paruthi, director of the Pediatric Sleep and Research Center at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, and an AASM fellow. And it doesn't matter whether you were up late to work on spreadsheets or to work on catching up on The Mindy Project

Greater risk of death: People who sleep less than five hours per night are 15 percent more likely to die from literally any cause, according to data from three massive studies. So yes, going to bed too late could eventually kill you.

Impaired creativity: Neuroimaging studies suggest that the brain spontaneously reorganizes information when you rest, which could explain why it's so much harder to focus and come up with ideas when you haven't slept.

Moodiness: There's something about exhaustion that turns you into Negative Nancy: In a two-year study in which 78 medical residents tracked their sleep and intermittently recorded their emotional responses to various stimuli, researchers found that fatigue intensified participants' negative emotions. Sleep deprivation actually affects your mood even more than it does your motor and cognitive performance, according to a massive review of 19 original research studies published in Sleep. Meaning? You're more susceptible to angry tangents when you're sleepy.

In conclusion, we must be aware of the effects that it holds and the health impact that it can do toward you as an individual. For futher info go to Huffingtonpost
